KidSport

KidSport Calgary is available to families wanting to play Strathmore Venom Lacrosse.

KidSport provides grants to kids whose families may be facing financial barriers so they can participate in sports that they might otherwise not be able to participate in. The grant approval is dependent on the families income and family size. The max income levels per family size that was provided were as followed:

A family of 2 (adult + child) = income of $44,000 or less

A family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) = income of $66,000 or less

A family of 6 (2 adult + 4 children) $85,000 or less

The family needs to provide proof of income for all adults in the family by either notice of assessment, child tax benefit, income support, or other government approved documents. Applicants apply directly to KidSport.

Strathmore Lacrosse Club © 2026

Strathmore Lacrosse is part of the Calgary District Lacrosse Association (CDLA) along with 7 other member clubs from Calgary and area. These clubs include: Calgary Axemen, Calgary Hornets, Calgary Knights, Calgary Sabrecats, Okotoks Mustangs, High River Heat, Rockyview Lacrosse (Airdrie and Cochrane)

The purpose of the club is to offer an opportunity for young athletes in Strathmore, Chestermere, Siksika Nation, Langdon and surrounding rural areas to learn and play box lacrosse.

We honour and acknowledge the traditional lands of Treaty 7 upon which we live, work, and play. We honour and respect our neighbours and friends of the traditional Blackfoot Territory and the Blackfoot Confederacy which includes Siksika Nation, North & South Piikani Nations, and the Kianai Nation.
